Shelf clock, Mitchell & Atkins, Bristol, CT, (firm started 1830 made 30 hr & 8 day wood movement clocks and 8 day brass clocks) Classical Revival motif, early 19th C., mahogany and mahogany veneer case, "triple decker" form with grain painted and gilt capital pilasters, mirrored panels above and below face, ivory diamond key hole escutcheons on both doors, painted wooden face with Roman numerals, gilt spandrels, pierced hands, lower door with eglomise landscape decoration with white house with columned porch, center reserve heart shaped to reveal pendulum, cast metal paw feet with gilt finish, wooden works assumed to be original and intact, not guranteed working condition, 32" h. x 18 1/2" w. x 6 1/4" d.
