SILVER: Hester Bateman (English, 1708 - 1794), George III sterling cruet stand, 1786, oval form with reticulated and bright-engraved sides, finely beaded rim at top, central handle with double-scroll grip and reticulated divider mounted on wooden base, raised on four claw and ball feet, urn motif throughout, hallmarked to rim of base with lion passant, worn Leopard's head crowned, "l" mark (London date letter for 1786), George III mark, and "H B" in script (maker's mark for Hester Bateman, entered 1761), additionally Hester Bateman and sterling (lion) hallmarks found on divider section of handle, on rim of base, and on every foot, wear consistent with age and use, 9 1/2" h. x 5 1/4" h. x 7 3/8" l.; along with eight early cut glass bottles with silver mounts (no hallmarks found except one "T B"), pair of oil and vinegar bottles, one small bottle with stopper attached to spoon hallmarked "T B", three smaller with glass stoppers, and two with pierced covers, all with wear consistent with age and use including small damages and chips, one heavily chipped at base, largest: 6 7/8" h.
