Six Japanese color and black and white woodblock prints with extensive calligraphy, five of six likely from Edo period: first depicting travelers near pine tree, multiple tears, toning to mat, 6" h. x 3 7/8" w.; second with two tiny narrative scenes and three columns of calligraphy, 8 1/4" h. x 5 3/4" w.; third depicting woman seated by decorative boxes, calligraphy merging into pictorial plane, loose within frame, toning to mat; fourth color, depicting still life of carafe, heavily stained, wrinkling, ss: 7 1/8" h. x 6 3/8" w.; fifth color, depicting two men with horse near cherry blossom tree, with light stains especially UL corner; along with after Kitagawa Utamaro (Japanese, d. 1806), 20th C. recarving of "Ha-of the Southern Station" (Nan'eki ha-jirushi), showing pale courtesan wiping her face, originally published c. 1795-6 by Tsuruya Kiemon (Senkakudo), likely printed by Adachi, metallic frame scratched UL corner, ss: 14 3/4" h. x 9 1/4" w., all matted and framed behind glass, none examined out of frames.
