Description:

Six wax carvings, 19th C., most busts or profiles, one a wax block, details include: female profile with polychrome finish, signed "Franz Bruggen, 1839" at lower left, crack to neck, heavy damages to frame, frame: 7 1/2" h.; profile of a gentleman with sideburns, rose colored wax, frame: 5 7/8" h.; portrait in three quarter view of man in Shakespearean dress, on blue ground, in round frame: 5 1/2" diam.; profile of a stately gentleman with Roman features and dress, terracotta red colored wax, in stamped brass frame, 5 3/4" h.; profile of gentleman in powdered wig, glossy finish, in square frame, frame size: 6" h.; and a wax block of couple in 18th C. dress, 4 1/2" h., all pieces with wear consistent with age and use which may include minor damages, sold as found, none examined out of frame.
