STERLING: Arthur Stone, Gardner, MA tea service, c. 1908-1928, seven pieces, all crafted by Herbert A. Taylor and incised with geometric panels: tea pot on stand with sterling encased burner, 12 1/4" h. (60.46 ozt without wick); teapot, 6 1/8" h. (26.18 ozt); coffee pot, 8 3/4" h. (28.47 ozt); covered sugar (12.55 ozt); creamer (8.81 ozt); and waste bowl, 3" h., 4 1/2" dia. (6.82 ozt), all on ovoid tray, 28 7/8" l. (135 ozt), all pieces stamped "Sterling", "F.G.R", and "A.H.S" except tray, tray stamped with Stone hammer logo and "T", "S.L.B, June 21, 1928" engraved underside all pieces, tea and coffee pots with bone or ivory bands on handles, expected surface wear including scratches, dents, and dings throughout, approximate total including bands: 278.29 ozt.
