STERLING: Early Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette by William and Edward Turnpenny, Birmingham, 1845, shaped rectangular form with scrolling vine decoration, elaborate reticulated grill with gilt wash to floral design, hallmarks to both interior cover and base including Victoria duty mark, sterling standard lion, Birmingham anchor, old English style "W" for 1845, and maker's mark "W & ET", wear consistent with age and use, no major damages or repairs viewed, monogram to cover, 1/3" h. x 1 5/8" w. x 1 1/4" d.
