Tall case clock, c. 1780, unsigned, possibly Pennsylvania, in Walnut with pine secondary, with 30-hour, time and strike, continuous chain pull-up, single weight with single wood pulley, arched plate movement. The painted white dial is an early style with flowers and strawberry design, mounted to movement with three long dial feet. Date wheel is marked "Wilson BIRMM "and the dial back contains the Maltese cross, Wilson identification mark. Case is a Flat top design with arched hood door and arched waist door, wear consistent with age including case refinished, once reduced in height, original base and feet reattached, feet worn, all glass replaced, movement complete with bell, pendulum and weight, 85" h. x 16 3/4" w.
