Thomas Willoughby Nason (Connecticut, 1889-1971), two wood engravings, the first "Midsummer," c. 1942, depicting pastoral scene of three grazing cows under the canopy of trees, pencil signed and dated LR, ss: 5 1/2" h. x 8 3/4" w.; the second another pastoral scene depicting two grazing white horses at dusk, pencil signed LR, ss: 7 1/4" h. x 10 1/4" w., both pieces matted under glass in simple black wooden frames, expected wear including some slight waving and discoloration to paper, frames with surface scratching and finish loss.[Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the New Britain Museum of American Art.
