Staffordshire Whieldon type cow cream jugs with sponge or tortoise glaze decoration: cow with curling horns attended by kneeling milkmaid, black and red on white ground, on beveled octagonal base, 5 3/8" h.; cow along with figure seated on milking stool, brown and black on white ground, on shaped and in-cut green plinth, with cap cover, hairline along base of tail handle, 5 1/2" h.; and cow with milkmaid, brown and black on white ground, blue sponge and striped decoration to oblong base, with cap cover, tiny flake to one horn tip, 5 7/8" h. at highest point, all with expected wear.
