Three plaster cast reproductions of Abraham Lincoln''s head and hands, made from the Leonard Volk life mask of 1860, head of Lincoln, hollow form, inscribed verso "This was made for PJ Koonz, a subscriber to the (?), to the US government of the original mask. Made in Chicago, April 1860 by Leonard W. Volk from the living face of Abraham Lincoln; this cast was taken from the first replica of the original in NYC, February 1886; right hand grasping broom handle, inscribed on wrist "Copyright 1886 by Leonard W. Volk, this cast of the hand of Abraham Lincoln was made from the first replica of the original made at Springifled, Ill the Sunday following the nomination to the presidency 1860,"; left hand with similar inscription at wrist, surface wear and damage throughout including some chips, scratches, discoloration, wear to knuckles, wear to inscriptions, all pieces fitted with wire hooks for hanging.
