Character jugs by Utzschneider & Co.: No "3181", with male face looking to the side with rosy cheeks and open mouth, blue head ribbon, raised decoration and applied handle, craquelure of glaze, glaze flakes, wear to rim, 6 3/4" h.; jug in the shape of an elderly man with squinted eyes and a green hat, wear to base, 7" h.; "V'la les English", oblong face with long teeth and muttonchops, topped with plaid cap, marked "3210", Black Germany stamp, chip to rim, 7 3/4" h., all with craquelure of glaze.
