Description:

Three tested 14K gold medals: largest given to John McKenna of Belfast, Ireland by the passengers and crew for jumping overboard to save the life of a child in danger of drowning, dated July 28th, 1864, laurel wreath border, ribbon and larger ring all tested 14K, inscriptions to both sides, overall: 2 3/4" h. x 1 3/4" w., 35.9 grams; and two smaller, one a Society of the Mayflower Descendent medal with the name Susan B. Munson, 13.9 grams; the second a New York Historical Association medal dated 1609- 1899 in border, 10.8 grams, both tested at edge, rings not tested, all pieces with wear consistent with age and use. Shipping

Shipping and handling after the auction is available. Automobilia Auctions will remove all purchases from Winter Associates and bring them to their Rocky Hill, CT warehouse after the sale. Buyers will contact Automobilia Auctions to arrange pick up or shipping through USPS, FedEx or other agencies. Automobilia Auctions will coordinate with third party shippers, freight and courier service if requested.
