Three works by or in the manner of William Paxton (Maine, 1930-2009): two oils on artist board in matching ebonized frames: "U.S. Troops in France, WWII, 1944", depicting four American G.I.'s and armored tank approaching destroyed city, inscribed with shortened title recto and pen inscribed title verso, framed under glass; along with "Katy", depicting red locomotive in wintry cityscape, both signed "Bill Paxton" LR, both as: 8" h. x 10" w.; and in the manner of William Paxton, watercolor on paper depicting tugboat "Walter Ross", laid down on mat, matted and framed behind glass, ss: 8 1/2" h. x 14 1/2" w., neither work examined out of frame.
