Treenware, five painted wooden pierres: three pantry boxes of graduating sizes depicting historical buildings in Farmington, CT including Hill-Stead Museum, Stanley-Whitman House, and main building of Miss Porter's School, all hand-painted by Ellen K. Stiles, Suffield, CT, all with original price tags, smallest measures 4 7/8" dia., largest measures 8 5/8" dia.; miniature spice box with six drawers, some chipped or loose knobs, light water stains to top, 5 1/4" h. x 7 1/2" w. x 3 1/8" d.; along with Byron E. Bruffee watermelon wedge, realistically painted rind, fruit, and seeds, complete with carved bite mark, stamped with artist's name along outside edge of rind, some checking and splitting, 11 7/8" l.
