Twelve English & French plates: six Adams plates, "Cries of London" pattern, four with central image depicting two females purchasing orange from a merchant holding a basket, based after an image painted by F. Wheatley R.A. and engraved by Schiavonetti, along with two others, one depicting seamstresses working and the other depicting female buying an apron's worth of fish from merchants on a wagon, four with yellow banded rims, two with white, one with two large chips, each approximately 9" diam.; along with six plates depicting the life of John Churchill (1650-1722), 1st Duke of Marlborough, each depicting different scenes from Duke's life, each with illegible maker's mark on underside, each approximately 8 1/4" diam., all with expected wear including crazing, hairlines, glaze imperfections, as well as gilt and decoration loss.
