Two 19th C. embroideries: one with embroidered landscape and figure, ink on brown felt head, depicting classically dressed woman waving farewell to departing ship, oval-shaped, gilt frame with some craquelure, checking, and surface loss, ss: 16 3/4" h. x 13 3/4" w.; along with painted silk and embroidered depiction of Penelope contemplating absent Odysseus's bow, based on 1779 Angelika Kauffman (Swiss-Austrian, 1741-1807) oil on canvas, "Penelope Weeping over the Bow of Ulysses", black and gilt eglomisé border, some bubbling and peeling paint, lost and detached embroidery, flaking and checked gilt frame, ss: 11 1/4" h. x 9 1/2" w., both framed behind glass, neither examined out of frame.
