Two 20th C. English boxes: c. 1901 Benson & Hedges, London humidor, hinged wooden case, stylized brass brackets, inner white metal and cherry red felt lining, recessed double handles, missing key, blank rectangular escutcheon to lid, some chips, splitting and infilling of lid, 8 7/8" h. x 12 1/2" w. x 9 7/8" d.; and campaign box used as traveling post office during WWII, five vertical pigeon holes, drop down lid converts to writing surface, lined with red leather and covered in original flame stitch paper, "Bradshaw Army Red Book Postal Whitaker" inscribed in red paint along top front brass trim of box, company name "C. W. Thornhill & Co." and location stamped in gilt lettering along lower margin of writing surface, loss to paper lining, splitting to back, 9 7/8" h. x 11 1/4" w. x 6 3/4" d., both with expected surface wear to cases.
