Two c.1870 albums with 300+ seaflower and seaweed mounts, specimens collected from New England beaches, the Indian Ocean, and the waters off the Island of Wight among other locations, one prepared by Susanna Nexson Warner, wife of Rev. Samuel Nichols D.D. of Greenfield Hill, Fairfield County, Connecticut, contains watercolors and handwritten inscription regarding the album's donation to the Fairfield Historical Society on the occasion of the 1935 Connecticut Tricentennial; larger album prepared by female relative Susan N. Nichols, cover of larger album and some pages detached. [Resource materials relating to the Nichols Family, including family members' diaries and genealogical information, are available upon request from the Fairfield Museum & History Center; FMHS has no record of this gift]
