Description:

Two early 19th C. silhouettes, a man and a woman, both signed "de Mors", with paper labels attached verso reading "Miss Christian Eliz. Sherreff/ after Silhouette by Edouart/ May 12, 1832", and "Mr. A. H. Pears/ after Silhouette by Edouart/ August 9, 1832", the first silhouette also stamped verso "cut with common scissors/ by Elizabeth Morse" (examined out of frame), both with toning and some foxing, both framed under glass, ss: 2 5/8" h. x 2 5/8" l. (the second not examined out of frame)
