Two early 20th C. landscapes: first by Arthur E. Ward (American, 1863-1928), oil on board, "Clifton Village, England", depicting small village with walking mother and child and chickens, signed LL, signed and titled in pencil verso, frame rubbing and some bowing to board, ss: 7" h. x 10 1/4" w.; along with a c. 1923 oil on canvas depicting two figures at dusk, signed and dated along with a "New Haven Paint and Clay Club, 1923" exhibition label verso, craquelure and frame rubbing, ss: 17 1/2"h. x 24 1/4" w., neither examined out of frames, both with expected wear to frames.
