Description:

Two framed graphite drawings: first a Summer landscape, English, mid 19th C., unsigned graphite on paper, scattered buildings, some with thatched roofs, remnants of label attached verso with date "June 1859", matted and framed behind glass, ss: 9" h. x 13" w.; and smaller a drawing of an African American man holding arrow, monogrammed signature "WAW" at lower right, loose in frame, toning, ss: 6" h. x 4 1/2" w., both pieces with wear consistent with age and sold as found.
