Description:

Two framed pieces: Bob Kane (American, 1916-1998), diptych of limited edition prints of two Batman scenes, Bob Kane was the co-creator of action comic strip hero Batman in 1939, one a street scene with Robin, Cat Woman, Joker and the Penguin; second depicts Batman in front of Batmobile with floating head of Joker nearby, all contained on filmstrip type background, both no. 2331/2500, framed and matted behind plexiglass, total size: 25" h. x 36 3/4" w.; along with a pencil on paper portrait of elderly woman, signed "E. A. Sundgard" LR, 19" x 16", neither not examined out of frame, surface wear to frame, wear consistent with age and use. [PROVENANCE: Part of a Collection received from the Lyme Art Association. Proceeds go to furthering the mission of LAA.]
