Two late 19th C. dresses, museum provenance, one beige and one tan, both princess cut, details include: beige taffeta dress, small train, hem edged in cord, buttoned down to the start of trim on the skirt, high neckline with tiny ruffle and long sleeves with wide cuff decoration, deep ruffle trim on skirt, very deep pleating at back center, two loops on back to pick up the train, label in sleeve reads "bonded # 171", both armpits damaged, armpit to armpit: 14", waist diam.: 22"; and tan dress with train, three quarter length sleeves, sleeves are a figured pale green, buttoned down center front, boned, hem is decorated with tan pleating and a pale green ruffle, tan garland above the pleating follow train and trails up the left side of the skirt hem, train is lined in blue silk, label inside sleeve reads "bonded #20", both armpits damaged, armpit to armpit: 13 1/2", waist diam.: 22", both pieces with wear consistent with age and use, sold as found.
