Two lift top wooden table-top chests, American, 19th C. or earlier, details include: one nailed construction in old or original green paint with ring and bail lifting handle, rope carved front edge to lid, lined with New York newspaper dated 1820, inscribed "W.A. Eliason, Glastenbury, Sept. 6, 1830", 17 1/2" l.; and one dovetailed construction with brown and black sponge painted decoration resembling wood grain or inlay, heavy cast iron flanking handles and strapped lock, lid loose, 9" h. x 23" w. x 12 3/4" d., both with heavy wear consistent with age and use including checking, small loses and damage, etc., sold as is.

Shipping and handling after the auction is available. Automobilia Auctions will remove all purchases from Winter Associates and bring them to their Rocky Hill, CT warehouse after the sale.
