Two pieces early Delft pottery: tobacco jar, ovoid, blue decoration to white ground, depicting native in feathered headdress smoking pipe, figure seated under tobacco leaves and next to urn inscribed "St. Vinsent" [sic], two ships depicted anchored in harbor at right, "VOC" monogram located LL, missing brass cover, three blue circles with dashes and carved "VII" found underside base, expected surface wear including glaze loss especially to top rim, 10 1/2" h.; along with pitcher, white ground with dark and light blue accents, indistinctly inscribed "Ol Mirtiui" (?) under handle, monogrammed "GB" on handle, crazing especially to area under and including spout, numerous chips / flakes, loss to glaze, 7 7/8" h.
