Two pieces of 19th C. porcelain: A. William Brownfield & Son painted vase, bulbous body narrowing at the neck, step-form handles on each side, painted floral motif on cream and blue background with gilt accents, three horizontal brown bands at base, neck and rim, marked at base "Brownfield," 10 1/2" h.; along with white porcelain pitcher depicting an angel appearing to Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden, gilt band around rim, shaped turquoise colored handle with zipper pattern, marked "6945" on base, 7 1/2", both with expected surface wear including crazing, glaze imperfections, surface scratching and loss to gilt. [Provenance: Piece of paper included stating the pitcher originally belonged to Kezia Carpenter Morris Hassen (1828-1896) who was the wife of Dr. John Hassen (1806-1872), born in Maryland and lived in West Newton, PA.]
