Two works on paper: Galvez (20th C.) watercolor and ink drawing on paper, c. 1948, portrait depicting seated female wearing bonnet and holding something in her hand, signed and dated LR, matted behind glass in simple black wooden frame with gilt trim around opening, ss: 10 1/4" h. x 7 1/4" w.; along with a reproduction of a 19th C. advertisement for Dent's Toothache Gum, depicts a young seated boy holding his swollen cheek with an empty box of candy at his feet with text below stating the benefits of the product, matted behind glass in simple black wooden frame, ss: 9 3/4" h. x 6" w., both pieces with expected wear including some discoloration and slight wave to paper, frames with surface scratching, finish loss and scattered nicking/chipping.[Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the New Britain Museum of American Art.
