WEAPON: Civil War era Remington New Model revolver, c. 1865, brass trigger guard, company name engraved at top of barrel, patent information almost completely worn away, six chambers, loss to left side of stock, broken off hammer spur and locked up tight, expected wear throughout including scuffs, nicks, and scratches, 13 5/8" l. [From descendants of Henry Hammond Taylor, an antiques collector, furniture restorer, and author of "Knowing, Collecting and Restoring Early American Furniture" published in 1930.]
