WEAPONS, two late 19th C. Continental swords: 1871 Chassepot type bayonet tip sword, engraved "St. Etienne, 8bre 1871" along inner edge of blade, numerous maker''s, inspection, and metal lot marks engraved at ricasso and crossguard, ribbed brass hilt, scabbard collar also engraved with serial number, 27 1/2" l.; and Spanish Toledo military sword, c. 1870-1900, crown stamped pierced hand guard, illegible inscription located along blade on one side, scabbard collar stamped "Toledo", partially splitting ribbed wooden grip, heavily scratched two-loop scabbard, 40 1/8" l., both with expected wear.
