William Fields (American, 20th C.), oil on board, "Portrait of Barbara," c. 1949, bust portrait depicting profile of a seated middle-aged woman in red vest with white long-sleeve, signed and dated LL, in naturally-finished distressed frame with gray-painted accents, Mint Museum of Art [Charlotte, NC] and Virginia Intermont College [Bristol, VA] labels adhered verso, expected wear including some discoloration, frame rubbing along edges and surface scratching, frame with nicking/chipping, ss: 12" h. x 8 1/4" w.[Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the New Britain Museum of American Art.
