American pewter teapot attributed to William Will (Philadelphia, 1764-1798), Queen Anne form, high domed lid with unusual hinge and pearwood handle, pear-shaped body rises from flat bottom, large ear-shaped handle with scrolled grips attached with pewter collars, spout undulates as it rises and tapers to oval flat cut opening, teapot is heavily worn with damages, Will often put his touchmark to the interior base and that area is heavily corroded erasing any mark that might have been previously visible, other damages/ wear include cracking in several areas to handle, small dents, loose handle, small scattered cracks, base corroded through, wooden part of finial worn down, etc., sold as is, 7" h. x 8 3/4" w. x 4 3/4" d.
