TEXTILES: C. 1926 - 1930 Evening cape and flapper dress, deaccessioned from a Connecticut Museum: black velvet evening cape with attached scarf, unidentified maker, American, c. 1930, velvet and satin, shattered silk liner, shoulder to hem: 41" l., back collar to hem: 50 1/2" l.; and a green silk crepe flapper evening dress, American, Beneway label, c. 1926, silk crepe, floral motif with extensive beading, rhinestone straps and gold thread adornment, shoulder to hem: 39" l., across bust from seam to seam: 17", both pieces with wear consistent with age including small damages and loss, as is. [Provenance: deaccessioned from the Wadsworth Atheneum, sold to benefit acquisition funds.]
